At Flo & Friends Charity Organization, we believe that proper nutrition is key to improving education and reducing school dropouts. Our school feeding program at Maranatha School and First Child Center has made significant strides toward this goal by providing nutritious porridge to students.
The impact has been transformative. At First Child Center, we began distributing porridge to 77 pupils, and by the end of 2023, this number had grown to 175. At Maranatha School, we have distributed porridge to 128 pupils. In total, the program has reached 303 children, providing them with the nutrition needed to focus and thrive in their studies.
This remarkable growth reflects the vital role nutrition plays in attracting and retaining students. Beyond numbers, the program is helping to combat malnutrition, ensuring children have the energy to excel academically.
The success of this initiative has inspired others to join the cause. One such partner, moved by the program’s impact, generously contributed by constructing three additional classrooms for First Child Center. This support not only addresses immediate nutritional needs but also fosters a better learning environment, enabling long-term educational success.
Our program aims to:
- Fight Malnutrition: Provide healthy, energy-rich porridge to improve students’ physical and mental well-being.
- Reduce Dropouts: Attract and retain more students in schools, giving them the tools to build a brighter future.
“The impact of this initiative goes beyond the classroom, strengthening communities and bringing hope to families. “With your help, we can expand this program to reach even more children, ensuring they have the nourishment and support needed to succeed.
